The Evens Foundation is a public benefit foundation based in Antwerp (Belgium), but active throughout Europe with additional offices in Paris and Warsaw. We initiate and support projects, and award biennial prizes that contribute to the progress and strengthening of Europe based on cultural and social diversity. In doing so we aim for a European dimension not only in our mission but also our methods.

For the past 10 years the foundation has been actively supporting educational projects in the field of conflict transformation as part of its Peace Education Programme. We have also initiated the Conflict Matters conference and platform to explore and share pioneering ideas and good practices that allow to turn conflict into an educational opportunity.

After the 2015 Conflict Matters Conference the Evens Foundation brought together the six partners involved in Learning Communities for Peace.
