CREA (Community of Research on Excellence for All) was born in 1991 in the University of Barcelona (Spain) with the aim of generating a scientific research that was able to identify theories and practices that overcome inequalities and to train professionals of the maximum excellence in teaching and research, stemming from different ethnic groups, genders, ages and social classes. Currently, CREA has achieved this challenge through the consolidation of an open, diverse, interdisciplinary and ethical community of researchers. Thus, more than 60 researchers from an increasingly diverse range of disciplines (e.g. education, sociology, social work, economics, political sciences and mathematics, among others) and countries make up this community. CREA is involved in the LCP project as an inspiration partner, contributing its long expertise in research on educational actions aimed at enhancing community participation in schools and education, and on the dialogic model of conflict prevention and resolution.
